Installing Client Software

For client workstations with the Windows operating system, this chapter
provides detailed instructions for installing the client software from
CD-ROM, and for adding printers, configuring printer ports, and
downloading drivers from the controller or a network location.
For Macintosh client workstations, this chapter explains how to install
and configure the Macintosh PPD file to enable both AppleTalk and LPR
printing.
Installing Unix filters is not covered here, as it is an administrative
function that can only be performed with root privileges. For instructions,
refer to the Administrator's Guide.
