Software Update Procedure

Using Local Area Network (LAN) port:
Tools, cables and software needed:
· Power cable (or refer PC Interface Cable Diagram)
· DC power supply 12-24 VDC
· One (1) Ethernet cross-over cable, or two (2) standard (CAT-5)
· PC or laptop with Windows xx
· Download program MX 500 Series Software Update.exe
· *.bin file – the program itself
Procedure:
1. Using the Ethernet cross-over cable, connect the LAN
(RJ45) port of the PC to the LAN (RJ45) port of the MX
500 unit, or connect the MX 500 unit to the PC via a hub/switch/
router.
2. From your PC, right click on My Network Places and select
Properties.
3. Right click on Local Area Connection and select Properties.
4. Where it says This connection uses the following items,
select Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) and click on Properties.
