General Fault Conditions (Continued)

is loose or disconnected.

electrode(s) on the waste
cap.

1.
At the beginning of the
count cycle, the instrument
detects blood in the sample
line that runs from the top
of the Sample Loader tower
to the shear valve.
2.
After four Blood in Line
faults, the Sample Loader
halts.
NOTE: If necessary, samples can be processed in the open mode,
as it is not affected by this problem. To run samples in the open
mode, first initialize the system as directed in the
procedure
provided in the
this chapter. When initialization is complete, the open mode is
automatically selected and samples can then be processed.

operation.

1. Check the sample line to see
if it contains blood. If it
does, clean or replace the
Sample Loader needle.
2. Check for a crimp in the
sample aspiration tubing
between the Sample Loader
and the Analyzer.
