Disk Expansion – Daisy-Chaining

Set the jumper (JP4) on the Disk I/O card installed in the expansion
enclosure.
Loosen the two captive fastener screws on the Disk I/O card and pull it from
the daisy-chain enclosure using the fastener screws. Locate the jumper JP4
and position it for the desired speed setting, (installed on one pin only for 2
Gb mode and on both pins for 1 Gb mode).

Re-install the Disk I/O card. Repeat step 8 for the second Disk I/O card.

Set the SES Controller Card switches in the daisy-chain enclosure. Refer to the
illustration below. See "SES Controller Card Switch Setting Overview" on
page 56 for additional enclosure settings.

Cable the daisy-chain enclosure to the primary RAID enclosure.

Connect a data cable from the "D2" connector on the upper Disk I/O
card installed in the primary RAID enclosure to the "D1" connector on
the upper Disk I/O card installed in the daisy-chain enclosure. Refer to
the cabling illustration below.
