Using *OPC and *ESR?
The *OPC common command sets the standard event status register bit to
0 and displays the OPC bit.
Examples of Use:

Sets the OPC bit to 0.
Sets standard event status enable bit to 1
Executes averaging measurement
Sets so as to change standard event status
register OPC bit (bit 0) to 1 after
measurement completed
Standard Event Status register query
Measuring when response is 0
Standard Event Status register query
Measuring stopped when response is 1.
waveform data
Waveform data is ready when response is 1.
Gets trace object from OTDR
Changes wavelength
Starts measurement with new measurement
