Front Wheel Hub / Steering Knuckle Related Parts Inspection; Steering Knuckle Dust Seal / Front Wheel Hub Bearing Removal And Installation - Suzuki LT-A400 Service Manual

• Tighten the front hub nut to the specified torque.
Tightening torque
Front hub nut (d): 110 N·m (11.0 kgf-m, 79.5 lb-ft)
• Install the cotter pin (3).
CAUTION
!
The removed cotter pin (3) must be replaced
with a new one.
Front Wheel Hub / Steering Knuckle Related
Parts Inspection
Brake Disc Cover
Inspect the brake disc cover for damage. If any damages
are found, replace the brake disc cover with a new one.
Steering Knuckle Dust Seal
Inspect the inner and outer steering knuckle dust seals
for wear or damage. If any damages are found, replace
the dust seal with a new one.

Front Wheel Hub Bearing
Inspect the inner race play of the front wheel hub
bearings by hand while they are in the steering knuckle.
Rotate the inner races by hand to inspect for abnormal
noise and smooth rotation. If there is anything unusual,
replace the front hub bearing with a new one.

Removal
1) Remove the inner and outer steering knuckle dust
seals with the special tool.
Special tool
(A): 09913–50121 (Oil seal remover)
