Machine Startup

A detailed startup procedure is given at the beginning of
Section 7 – Tooling Installation . A condensed five step
version is given here for your convenience.
AC Power
1.
Plug in the AC power cord to a 480 Volt AC, 3  -   P hase,
30 Amp receptacle and turn on the AC power switch.
The yellow MAIN POWER light will illuminate.
See the NOTE to the right.
Compressed Air
2.
Connect the welder to a supply of clean, dry, com-
pressed air at 75 to 90 psi. Turn the lockout valve
to the right to open the valve. The air is used to raise
and lower the front access door and for any optional
vacuum part–retention or pneumatic clamping and
ejection features.
E-STOPS & Reset
3.
Reset both of the E-STOP buttons by turning
clockwise and pulling out (or up). Then press the
E-STOP RESET button and the ALARM light will
stop flashing and go out. If the alarm light does not
go out, make sure the rear service doors are securely
closed and the interlocks engaged.
Hydraulic Pump
4.
Turn on the hydraulic pump - refer to Figure 8  -   4 a -
by pressing the HYDRAULIC PUMP ON button.
It will illuminate green when the pump is activated.

HOME Procedure

5.
Machine Reset
Press the
toolbar. See Figure 8  -   1 . The
ton is active only in Setup mode.
Follow the on-screen instructions when those appear.

tion welder with any of
the service doors open.
This is an unsafe practice
and can result in injury or
death.
The rear service doors
also serve as acoustic
shields.
NOTE
Not all machines run on 30 Amps of ser-
vice. Refer to the machine name plate for
actual power rerquiremets
Press Machine Reset
to home the machine.
