Steering head assembly
Position the steering head in its seat.
Reposition the fork stems as described previously in
this chapter.
Tighten the three screws of the steering head as
described previously.
Check the exact position of the fork

Adjusting the steering vibration damper (Brutale
F
1090 RR)
For a standard adjustment, turn the knob anticlockwise
down to the end of the travel; in this position the vibra-
tion damper opposes the least resistance to the stee-
ring system.
The driver may gradually increase the braking effect of
the steering vibration damper by turning the knob
clockwise to suit the driver's style.
