Causes/check procedures
3000-sheet document finisher
Defective eject switch 1.

Check if the paper convey-
ing motor malfunctions.
Check if the eject roller and
eject pulley contact each
other.
Check if the eject guide is
deformed.
Defective finisher main
PWB.
Built-in finisher
Defective paper conveying

Check if the feedshift roller
or feedshift pulley is
deformed.

Corrective measures
Run maintenance item U241 and turn eject switch 1 on and off
manually. Replace the switch if indication of the corresponding
switch on the touch panel is not displayed in reverse.
With 5 V DC present at CN7-1 on the finisher main PWB, check if
CN7-3 on the finisher main PWB remains low or high when the
eject paper sensor is turned on and off. If it does, replace the eject
paper sensor.

Replace the finisher main PWB and check for correct operation.
With 5 V DC present at YC2-23 on the finisher control PWB,
check if YC2-21 on the finisher control PWB remains low when
the paper conveying switch is turned on and off. If it does, replace
the paper conveying switch.

Run maintenance item U241 and turn eject switch 2 on and off
manually. Replace the switch if indication of the corresponding
switch on the touch panel is not displayed in reverse.
Run maintenance item U241 and turn eject switch 3 on and off
manually. Replace the switch if indication of the corresponding
switch on the touch panel is not displayed in reverse.
Run maintenance item U241 and turn internal tray paper entry
sensor 1 on and off manually. Replace the switch if indication of
the corresponding switch on the touch panel is not displayed in
reverse.
Run maintenance item U241 and turn inner tray paper entry sen-
sor 2 on and off manually. Replace the switch if indication of the
corresponding switch on the touch panel is not displayed in
reverse.
