Marker indication (Marker)

Setting the "Marker" to ON turns on the marker LEDs when you press the trigger

switch, showing the markers on the object to be scanned. The markers help you

distinguish the readable range or the illumination range covered by the illumina-

tion LED in long-range scanning.

Bar-code scanning status indication (Viewfinder)

You may display the scanning status of the CCD sensor when you press the trigger

switch. When the CCD sensor is scanning, the vertical bars flicker across the

bottom of the screen.

Decode level

You may set the recognition level. Decreasing the level value increases the bar-

code reading efficiency, but the BHT-4000 might misread low-quality bar codes

(split or stained). To the contrary, increasing the level value decreases the bar-code

reading efficiency, but it preclude almost all possibilities of misreading.

The default "2" is recommended.
