4.1 Overview of Easy Pack 4.2

4.1.1 Features

• Starts the BHT-4000 system operation from that day when you introduce
the BHT-4000.
Easy Pack 4.2 is a standard application program provided in the "BHT-BASIC 3.0
System Pack." By merely downloading it, you may start bar code data collection in
your business without program development. This general-purpose program is
designed to meet a variety of customer's applications.
• User-friendly procedure.
Just by interactive key operations following the menus and guidances displayed on
the LCD screen, you can easily handle Easy Pack 4.2 without programming skill.
• Handles up to four data files.
Easy Pack 4.2 can handle up to four types of bar code data collection applications.
Collected data in each of the applications will be written in the assigned file.
Shown below is a sample application assignment to those data files.

Easy Pack 4.2 cannot support the following applications: retrieval or display of
product names or prices from the master file, calculation, and other applications
requiring MODEM telecommunications. For those applications, it is necessary to
develop the user programs in BHT-BASIC 3.0. (Refer to the "BHT-BASIC 3.0
Programmer's Manual.")
