MULTI (Multi-code reading)**
* The number of digits should be within the range from 1 to 40.
Once the maximum number of digits for an item field is registered, any data exceeding it
cannot be entered in both keypad entry and bar code entry.
** To read EAN-13 or UPC-A bar codes when you have selected multi-code reading, it is
necessary to set at least 13 digits each for an ID-code field and data item field.
If you have selected multi-code reading, ITF bar codes having less than 4 digits cannot be
read.
Set 1 to 4 items.
Select "Barcode & Key", "Barcode", or "Key."
Select a desired bar code type from the seven
types given below.
Universal product codes: EAN-13, EAN-8, UPC-A, and
UPC-E
- Select whether the check digit should be enabled or
disabled.
- Designate the minimum and maximum numbers of
digits for a data item field.*
