System Program
System Program is essential for the BHT-4000. Prior to the first use of the BHT-4000,
they should be downloaded from the host computer to the BHT-4000. For the down-
loading procedure, refer to Subsection 2.3.2, [1] Downloading System Program.
System Program consists of the following three sets of programs:
Drivers
Drivers is a set of programs that directly controls the BHT-4000 hardware. It may be
called by the BHT-BASIC 3.0 Interpreter or System Mode.
BHT-BASIC3.0 Interpreter
The interpreter interprets and executes instructions in user programs or Easy Pack
4.2, which are written in BHT-BASIC 3.0.
System Mode
System Mode is a system program exclusively designed for the effective use of
Easy Pack 4.2 and user programs in the BHT-4000. It sets up the execution
environments for those programs; e.g., it prepares downloading conditions, sets
the calendar clock, and tests the BHT-4000 components including the LCD, beeper,
and keypad. Shown below is the System Mode menu.
