Is the problem noted at the same
location on all copies made in
Direct?
Does the scanning lamp flicker
while the scanner is moving
forward?
Are the developing rolls soiled
with toner or are the rolls
deformed? Or, is the area where
the developing rolls come into
contact (surface of the photosensi-
tive drum) soiled with toner?
Is the developing bias applied
normally?
Make a reduced copy and,
compare it against a copy made in
Direct. Is the problem noted at
different locations?
