The screen instructions lead you through all the necessary steps to properly install
the system. If you require further information, you can access the online help by
pressing F1 or clicking any Help button.

MMR Setup

The MMR Setup program is one of the three main components of MMR. MMR
Setup is invoked during the installation process. You can also start the MMR Setup
program after you complete the installation of MMR. During the initial installation
from disks, the MMR Setup program allows you to
• define the Meridian Mail system(s) from which data is to be collected
• configure the serial port on the PC (from which data is downloaded)
• configure the number of days to store Operational Measurements (OMs) in the
database
• configure the modem command strings (if a modem is being used)
• modify the start time of the Download Time Window (which defaults to 00:15
a.m.)

Configuration Options

• Single site configuration: MMR connects to one Meridian Mail system.
• Multisite configuration: MMR connects to one or more Meridian Mail
system(s). The actual number of sites depends on your particular installation, and
the amount of OM data to be downloaded and stored.

configuration. Refer to the Appendix for a list of the supported Meridian Mail
platforms.
