No Msg CA + EM Calls: The total number of calls that resulted in no message
being left by the caller. A no-message call occurs when a caller is routed to call
answering for a mailbox and does not leave a message.
Percentage of No Message Calls: The percentage of no-message calls to total
calls.
Successful Logons: The total number of successful user logons and Visit
Messenger sessions.
CA + EM Messages Received: The total number of Call Answering and Express
Messaging messages that arrived during the reporting interval.
Logons Per Message: The ratio of logons + Visit Messenger sessions to Call
Answering + Express Messaging messages.
The report can be sorted by Name, Date, Percentage Of No-Messages calls, and
Logons Per Message. The default sort is by Name and Date.
Analysis and Corrective Actions
Look at the number of no-message calls compared to the total number of calls. A
high percentage may indicate a problem with the greeting. Is there a personal
verification or is there a greeting? However, if the user's greeting indicates
vacation or other extended absence, a high percentage of no-message calls would
be expected. Is the call coverage implementation for the user or the function
inappropriate? The user or department may need education to help in providing
better service to callers.
A low logon per message ratio may result from temporary absences. If the low ratio
is not the result of vacations, business travel, or education, speak to the user about
responsiveness and the fact that stored messages consume disk space. For voice
mail to be effective, all users should be as responsive as possible to all voice mail
messages.
For users with unusual responsive patterns, you may want to run a Mailbox Session
Analysis report for details on the calls to their mailbox.
