Cannot perform the upgrade for an MM8 system. Please run MMR
Setup and upgrade to MM10 before running the installation
program again.
Appears if you attempt to run MMR Upgrade on MMR Release 1.0 or 1.01, and
MMR Setup indicates that a Meridian Mail system is running Release 8.
Action
1. Run MMR Setup for MMR Release 1.0 or 1.01.
2. Select the Single Site MM10 option button.
3. In the OM Password column of the Meridian Mail Systems table, type the OM
download password.
4. Click OK to save changes and to terminate MMR Setup.
5. Rerun the installation program.
6. If you upgrade to Meridian Mail Release 11 with MMR Release 2.0, rerun MMR
Setup after installation completes and type 11 in the Release column of the
Meridian Mail Systems table.
Cannot purge the OM database
Appears only for Windows 3.x/NT and if the vshare.386 share driver does not exist.
This error can occur while attempting to purge large tables. This error also may
appear because the vshare.386 driver is an older version.
Action
• Obtain the latest copy of vshare.386 from Microsoft's Bulletin Board
System (BBS).
Cannot read conversion template file x
File x cannot be read and the corresponding download failed.
The following causes explain why the error possibly occurred:
• Another application is locking the file.
• The file is corrupt.
