Using MMR and its Online Help
You can use the following command from the Help menu in the MMR Help
window to get Help on Help:
• How to Use Help Opens How to Use Help which explains in detail how to use
Windows help files like MMR Help.
Tutorial
Now that you know how to access MMR Help and find and navigate through its
information, you should practise these tasks. The following tutorial takes you
through a scenario in which you use MMR Help.
While in the Meridian Mail Reporter - Setup window to configure a Meridian Mail
system, you get confused about what information you should type in the OM
Password field of the Meridian Mail Systems table. You decide to get some help
about the window.
1. Click on the Help button located in the window's bottom right-hand
corner.
MMR Help opens at the Meridian Mail Reporter - Setup window topic. Two
graphics of the window appear within the topic.
2. Click inside the broken line box around the OM Password field on the
graphic.
A popup about OM Password opens and explains what information you
should enter in the field.
Eager to enter the correct information in the OM Password field, you decide to exit
MMR Help.
3. Highlight the File menu and select the Exit command.
MMR Help closes and you return to the Meridian Mail Reporter - Setup
window.
Back in the Meridian Mail Reporter - Setup window, you complete adding the
Meridian Mail system's information. Only when you finish do you realize that you
added the wrong system. You realize that you need information about how to delete
the system.
