rendezvous point (RP).

The issue is often caused by the unicast route not being reachable. Use the
following procedure to check the route.

To display the active RP, use the following command: show ip
pim active-rp
"Show ip pim active-rp command output" (page 41)

Definition
Specifies the IP address of the multicast group.
Together with the group mask, the group address
identifies the prefix that the local router uses to
advertise as a C-RP.
Specifies the IP address of the C-RP. This
address must be one of the local PIM-SM
enabled interfaces.
Specifies the priority of the RP. C-RPs must send
C-RP advertising messages with the field set to
0, which is the highest priority.
