Set modem dip switches to enable the configuration of the modem software.
• You must be familiar with "Safety considerations and best practices"
(page 53).
• This procedure uses a US Robotics 56K modem as an example. Follow
the instructions provided by the manufacturer of your modem to access
and set the dip switches. Set the switches as indicated in the table
"Modem settings of the hardware dip switches" (page 852). This table
applies to a US Robotics.
1 Set the modem dip switches as specified in the table "Modem settings of
the hardware dip switches" (page 852). The table applies to a US
Robotics 56K modem as an example of the settings you must apply.
