Print-Quality Troubleshooting
Yellow Step
5-12
The Yellow Step page contains yellow in graduated fills of decreasing density.
Things to look for:
Repeating defects or banding
Inconsistent variations in density
Streaks
Voids
Each color should be consistent across the page with no voids.
No separation or misconvergence where each bar meets its neighbor. Each bar is
separated by a thin black line.
Look for thin white lines that would indicate a dirty LED lens or a scratched
Imaging Unit.
Look for dark lines that would indicate a dirty or damaged Imaging Unit.
Look for complete fusing. Cold or hot offset fusing could indicate the incorrect
paper weight has been selected.
