PREPARING THE BINDER 120 FOR ON-LINE AND OFF-LINE OPERATION

WARNING: The Interface Module is somewhat heavy. Be careful
when raising the Interface Module.
3.
Squeeze the Interface Module Release Grip and raise the
Interface Module to the diamond (u) symbol on the Angle
Registration Label.
NOTE: The Interface Module has two operating positions - the
first position that is angled partially downward and the second
position that is almost all the way up. The Angle Registration
Label denotes each position by a symbol. The triangle (s)
symbol represents the first position, which is used for the Xerox
5100, 5800, and 5895. The diamond (u) symbol represents the
second position, which is used for the Xerox 5890 and
5680/5892. When you raise the Interface Module to either

Squeeze the Alignment Bracket Lever and move the Alignment
Bracket out of its storage position to the diamond (u) symbol on
the Alignment Bracket Label.
NOTE: The Alignment Bracket has three positions. The
Alignment Bracket Label denotes each position by a symbol.
The triangle (s) symbol represents the position used for the
Xerox 5100, 5800, and 5895. It corresponds to the triangle
symbol on the Angle Registration Label. The diamond (u)
symbol represents the position used for the Xerox 5890 and
5680/5892. It corresponds to the diamond symbol on the Angle
Registration Label. The curved arrow symbol represents the
position used when the Binder 120 is in the stand-by or stand-
