Switching from stand-by to on-line mode
XEROX DOCUMENT BINDER 120 OPERATOR MANUAL
PREPARING THE BINDER 120 FOR ON-LINE AND OFF-LINE OPERATION
Below is a brief outline of the steps required for switching from the
stand-by to the on-line mode. For detailed information about each of
these steps, refer to the section of this chapter that provides the
procedure for the connecting to the applicable host machine.
CAUTION: You must run the specified sets through the host
machine to ensure that the Output Tray of the host machine will be at
the correct position and height when aligning the Binder 120 to it.
1.
For the Xerox 5800, 5895, and 5890, program the host machine
to run two two-sheet, collated sets (single or duplex).
2.
For the Xerox 5680/5892, do the following:
Connect the two parts of the Spacer.
Move the Output Tray to the outer position.
3.
Move the Alignment Bracket out of storage to the appropriate
position for your host machine.
4.
Raise the Interface Module to the appropriate position for your
host machine.
5.
Extend the Receiving Plate outward.
6.
Rotate the Receiving Plate down onto the Output Tray of the host
machine.
7.
For the Xerox 5100, 5800, 5890 or 5895, release the Retainer
from its storage position and attach the Retainer to the Damper
Arm on the host machine Output Tray.
