ping

Use this command to send ICMP echo-request packets to another node on the network.
ping {hostname [packet_count] | -s hostname}

The defaults for ping -s:
The defaults for ping with no arguments:
Command Mode
Read-Only.
Following are guidelines for the ping command without arguments:
packet_size is 64 bytes
packet_size is 64 bytes
packet_count is 3
Wait time is 5 seconds
The ping host command is accepted in Read-only (RO) mode only. The
parameters take the default values automatically.
The target IP address is a mandatory field to be entered.
Specifies the IP address of the device to which the ping
will be sent.
(
Optional) Specifies the number of packets to send; valid
values are from 1 to 2,147,483,647.
Causes a continuous ping, sending one datagram per
second and printing one line of output for every response
received, until the user enters Ctrl+C.
