Move the Head Carriage slowly to the left.

Remove the Encoder Scale.

1. Remove the Plate at the right edge.
2. Remove the Spring at the left edge.
Remove the Spring Plate from the Encoder Scale and fix

it to the new Encoder Scale at the side which does not
have black dot.
When fixing the Plate, do not scratch the
Encoder Scale.
Insert the Encoder Scale into the space between the

Encoder Plate and the Guide Rail
Then, fix the right end with the Plate and hook the Spring
on the left end.
Make sure that the Encoder Scale fits in place.
Do not loosen or tighten the screws fixing the
Encoder Plate.
