5 Upgrading/Downloading Software/Firmware: Setting Up the External TFTP Server (If Necessary)

You will now specify (by slot number) which Media Module is to be upgraded, the name of the
new software file, and the IP address of the tftp server.

copy tftp mm-image v<slot #> <filename mm> <tftp_server_address>
where <slot #> is the slot of the specific media module as identified when you performed
"Determine Which Upgrades Are Needed" on page 79, <filename mm> is the media module
software in a format such mm712v58.fdl, and <tftp_server_address> is the ip address of your
external tftp server or the S8300.
Two or three minutes will be required for most upgrades. The VoIP Media Module upgrades takes
approximately 5 minutes. When the screen messages indicate that the transfer was complete:
Type show voip-parameters v0 to verify that the upgrade was successful.

Type reset mm v(slot#>.

Type show mm v<slot#> again to verify that the media module runs the new image.
