Network Setup with an Avaya S8300 Media Server

Once you have established connection to the S8300 processor, you will be able to communicate from one
entity to another. To set initial IP addresses and establish IP identities, you will use a combination of
Command Line Interface commands and web interfaces.

Configuring the Avaya S8300 Media Server

You can now establish an IP identity for the S8300 Media Server. To do so, you will connect your services
computer to the Ethernet port on the S8300 Media Server and use the Web interface to assign an IP address
and other networking information to the S8300 Media Server.
The S8300 Media Server will occupy slot V1 in a separate G700 Media Gateway, its installation will
proceed in the same way as the primary installation, and the administration will be similar. Again, your
planning documentation will provide the information you will need to configure the S8300 Media Server.
