To backup your configuration files on the G700 Media Gateway, type the following commands at

copy mgp-config tftp <filename> <ip address>

At the MG-???-1(configure)# prompt, type show mgp bootimage to determine which

disk partition is running. You will update the bank that is not running. For example, if the G700
vintage listed when you performed "Determine Which Upgrades Are Needed" on page 79 showed
A, you will upgrade B.
At the MG-???-1(configure)# prompt, type

copy tftp mgp-image <bank> <filename> <tftp_server_address>
to transfer the mgp image from the tftp server to the G700. <bank> is the bank that is not running.
For example, if the G700 vintage listed when you performed "Determine Which Upgrades Are
Needed" on page 79 showed A, you will upgrade B. <filename> will begin with mgp and will be
similar to a name like mgp_230_0.bin. <tftp_server_address> is the ip address of the external
tftp server or the S8300. See the following example: copy tftp mgp-image a
mgp_230_0.bin 195.123.49.54.
The screen will show the progress.
Verify that the download was successful when the prompt returns. Type show mg

Type set mgp bootimage <bank>. <bank> is the same letter you entered in step 6.
