4 Connecting to Other Systems: Connecting an Intuity AUDIX LX to the S8300 Media Server
• The trunk group(s) for the connections must be administered for:
- ISDN group type
- b (for PSTN) or d (for private network) supplementary service protocol
- A number of other attributes enabled on Page 2 of the Trunk Group screen, depending on
QSIG services purchased
• The ISDN Numbering - Public/Unknown or ISDN Number - Private screen must be administered.
• If a gateway is used, the Route Pattern screen must be administered for:
- TSC turned on
- A Hop Limit identified
• The Feature-Related System Parameters screen must be administered for:
- Trunk-to-Trunk Transfer
- QSIG TSC Extension
- Automatic Callback
- If Intuity AUDIX used, MWI-Number of Digits per AUDIX Subscriber
- If Intuity AUDIX used, Unknown Numbers Internal for AUDIX
• The Class of Service for those using the network must be administered for:
- Restrict Call Forward Off-Net turned off
- Auto Callback turned on
- QSIG Call Offer Originations turned on
• For QSIG VALU, the System Parameters Call Coverage/Call Forwarding screen must be
administered for:
- Immediate Redirection on Receipt of PROGRESS Inband Information turned on
- QSIG VALU Coverage Overrides QSIG Diversion with Rerouting turned on
Additionally, there are special consideration for administration of CAS and Intuity AUDIX when QSIG is

Connecting an Intuity AUDIX LX to the S8300 Media
Server
The process of integrating an INTUITY AUDIX LX system with an Avaya S8300 Media Server involves a
series of tasks to prepare the switch to work with the INTUITY AUDIX system.
