Driving with Snow Chains
W hen d riving with snow chains,
press the upper half of the snow
chain sw itch, located on the in­
strum ent panel (the indicator lam p
in the sw itch com es on), to obtain
m axim um possible traction.
T his m ode is effective at speeds
up to 25 m ph (40 k m /h ). It re­
m ains stored in m em ory up to
37 mph (60 k m /h ) and auto­
m atically engages again when the
vehicle speed drops below
25 mph (40 k m /h ).
The m ode is canceled in m em ory
above 37 mph (60 k m /h ) and the
indicator lam p in the sw itch goes
out.
To sw itch off: press lower half of
sw itch (the indicator lam p in the
sw itch goes out).
