The First 1000 Miles
(1500 km)
The m ore ca utio usly you treat your
vehicle during the break-in period,
the m ore satisfied you w ill be with
its perform ance later on. T he re ­
fore, drive your vehicle during the
first 1000 m iles (1500 km) at
m oderate ve hicle and engine
speeds.
During this period, avoid heavy
loads (full throttle driving) and high
RPM (no m ore than 2/3 of m axi­
m um p erm issible speed in each
gear as indicated on the
speedom eter).

Avoid accelerating by kickdow n. It
is not recom m ended to brake the
vehicle by m anually shifting to a
low er gear. We recom m end to
select positions " 3 " , " 2 " or " B "
only at m oderate speeds (for hill
driving).
