C ar Keys
Included with your vehicle are:
• 2 Infrared rem ote controls
w ith folding m aster keys,
• 1 M aster key,
• 1 Valet key,
• 1 Flat key.
Infrared R em ote C ontrol with
Folding M aster Key
car.
The transm itter for the infrared
rem ote control is located in the
key holder, the receivers are lo­
cated in the door handles and next
to the trunk lock.

Master Key
The m aster key fits all locks on the
car.
V alet Key
The valet key w orks only in the
door locks and the steering lock.
The valet key w ill not work in the
trun k and storage com partm ents
locks.
Flat Key
The flat key fits all locks on the
car.
Notes:
Do not give the m aster key to an
unauthorized person.
W e recom m end that you carry the
flat key with you and keep it in a
safe place (e.g. your w allet) so
that it is alw ays handy. Never
leave the flat key in the vehicle.
W arning!
W hen leaving the vehicle al­
w ays rem ove the key from the
steering lock. Do not leave
children unattended in the
vehicle. Unsupervised use of
veh icle e qu ip m en t may cause
serious personal injury.
Obtaining R ep lacem en t Keys
Your ve hicle is equipped with a
theft deterrent locking system
requiring a special key m anu­
facturing process. For security
reasons, replacem ent keys can
only be obtained from your
authorized M ercedes-Benz
dealer.
