Fastening of Seat Belts
Push latch plate (1) into buckle (2)
until it clicks.
The lap belt should be positioned
as low as possible on your hips
and not across the abdom en.
T hree-point seat belt:
T ighten the lap portion to a snug
fit by pulling shoulder portion up.
Rear center seat belt:
T ighten to a snug fit by feeding
belt tow ard retractor.

A d just seat belt so that shoulder
portion is located as close as
possible to the m iddle of your
shoulder. Do not tw ist the belt.
The shoulder portion of the seat
belt m ust be pulled snug and
checked for snugness im m edia­
tely after engaging it.
The height setting for the shoulder
portion of the front seat belts are
auto m a tica lly adjusted by the fo re /
aft m ovem ent of the front seat.
Seat m oved to front: Belt outlet
fu lly lowered.
Seat m oved to rear: Belt outlet
fu lly raised.
For safety reasons, avoid ad­
justin g the seat or seat back into
positions w hich could affect the
correct seat belt position.
U nfastening of Seat Belts
Push the release button (3) in the
belt buckle (2).
A llow the retractor to com pletely
rew ind the seat belt by guiding the
latch plate (1).
Notes:
The rear seat belt buckles can be
stored in the space next to the
rear arm rest (to the left and right
of arm rest). The rear center seat
belt should be latched and stored
under the arm rest.

O peration:
The inertia reel stops the belt from
unw inding during sudden vehicle
stops or when quickly pulling on
the belt.
The locking function of the reel
m ay be checked by quickly pulling
out the belt.
