Sliding Roof with R ear Pop-Up
Feature
1 to slide roof open
2 to slide roof closed
3 to raise roof at rear
4 to lower roof at rear
Turn key in steering lock to p osi­
tion 1 or 2 (with either front door
open, the s lid in g /p o p -u p roof can
be operated with key rem oved or
in steering lock position 0).
The sw itch is illum inated w hen the
exterior lam ps are sw itched on
(except standing lam ps).

Pop-Up Feature
An additional screen can be slid
into the roof opening to guard
a gainst sun rays. W hen sliding the
roof open, the screen w ill also
retract.
W arning!
W hen closing the sliding roof,
be sure that th e re is no danger
of anyo n e being harm ed by
the closing procedure.

The sliding roof can be opened or
closed m anually should an e lec­
trical m alfunction occur, refer to
E m ergency O peration in Index.
The sliding roof can also be
closed w ith the key or infrared
rem ote control w hile locking the
ve hicle doors or trunk (see C entral
Locking System in Index).
