5. Start engine of the vehicle with
the charged battery and run at
high idle. Then start engine of
the disabled ve hicle in the
usual m anner.
6 . After the engine has started,
rem ove ju m p e r cables by
exactly reversing the above
installation sequence, starting
with the last connection m ade
first. W hen rem oving each
clam p, m ake sure that it does
not touch any other metal w hile
the other end is still attached.

N ever lean over batteries w hile
connecting or jum p starting,
you m ight get injured.
B attery fluid contains sulfuric
acid. Do not allow this fluid to
com e in con tact w ith eyes,
skin or clothing. In case it
does, im m ediately flush
affec te d area w ith w ater,
and s ee k m edical help.
A battery will also produce
hydrogen gas, w hich is
flam m ab le and very explosive.
K eep flam es or sparks away
from battery, avoid im proper
con n ectio n of ju m p e r cables,
sm oking etc..
Important!
A discharged battery can freeze at
approx. + 1 4°F (-1 0 °C ). In that
case, it m ust be thaw ed out before
ju m p e r cables are used.
