Pow er Closing A ssist for Doors
and Trunk Lid
The doors and trunk lid close
autom atically if:
• doors are pushed against the
lock,
• trunk lid is lowered against the
lock.
It is not necessary to slam doors
or trunk lid closed, a pneum atic
pow er-assisted m echanism w ill
latch doors and trunk lid q uietly
and autom atically once the lid or
door has been brought to a close.
W hen the pneum atic pow er-
assisted m echanism has stopped,
doors a n d /o r trunk can be
reopened.
Note:
If the trunk lid does not close,
refer to Trunk Lid, M anual C losing
in Index.
Warning!
To prevent possible personal
injury, alw ays keep hands and
fin g ers aw ay from th e door or
tru nk opening w hen closing a
door or th e tru nk lid. Be e sp e ­
cially carefu l w hen small
child ren are around.
T he pneum atic pow er closing
assist m echanism cannot be
interrupted on ce it has been
engaged.
To p revent personal injury,
never activate the closing
assist m echanism by tam p e r­
ing with the door or trunk lid
latch.
