CDM-625 Advanced Satellite Modem
Front Panel Operation
If RxEnable is selected as the mode the CDM-625 will generate a timing signal of the type
selected here.
Note: For a particular link, the two interface types need not be the same. For example: If it is
required to generate an E1 reference signal at the remote site, but at the local end only a T1
reference signal is available, this is supported.

In the Internal (with Output) mode, the internal reference is used as an output on the rear panel
Ext Ref In/Out BNC connector. When this mode is selected, an amber LED adjacent to the
connector illuminates to alert the user that the connector, normally used as as input, now has an
output signal present. This mode is useful if a user wishes to use a single frequency reference for
both the modem and another piece of equipment in the system.

CONFIG: Clocks
Internal Hi-Stability 10MHz Reference
With the Internal 10 MHz Reference selected, very fine adjustment of the Internal 10MHz
Reference may be made. The adjustment value is retained in EEPROM memory, and hence is not
lost when the NVram memory is cleared.
Note: changes made to the adjust value are implemented immediately, not after the ENTER key
is pressed.
