Call Waiting

When you are on an active call and you receive an incoming call, you are notified of the incoming
call by a message on the telephone display screen and a notifying beep. Answering the new call
places the active call on hold. You can also redirect the new call, transfer the new call, or ignore the
new call.

Placing a call on Hold

Use the Hold feature when you are talking to one contact and want to perform another action, such
as answer a new incoming call, transfer a call, or initiate a new call. You can have a number of calls
on hold at the same time.
To place a call on hold:
1. Press the Hold fixed key.
The LCD on hold icon flashes beside the line on hold.
To retrieve a call on hold:
Press the Line feature key beside the flashing LCD indicator.
OR
Press the Hold fixed key.
To release a call on hold:
Important:
You must retrieve a call from hold before you can end it.
1. Retrieve the call on hold:
• Press the Line feature key beside the flashing LCD indicator.
OR
• Press the Hold fixed key.
2. Press the Goodbye fixed key.
