This manual has been written by Yamaha
Motor Company for use by Authorized Ya-
maha Dealers and their qualified mechanics.
In light of this purpose it has been assumed
that certain basic mechanical precepts and
procedures inherent to our product are al-
ready known and understood by the reader.
Without such basic knowledge, repairs or
service to this model may render the ma-
chine unsafe, and for this reason we must ad-
vise that ail repairs and/or service be perfor-
med by an Authorized Yamaha Dealer who is
in possession of the requisite basic product
knowledge.
The Research, Engineering, and Overseas
Service Departments of Yamaha are conti-
nually striving to further improve ail models
manufactured by the company. Modifica-
tions are therefore inevitable and changes in
specifications or procedures will be forwar-
ded to ail Authorized Yamaha Dealers and
will, where applicable, appear in future edi-
tions of this manual.

flés. Il s'adresse donc à des personnes déjà
bien au courant des particularités mécaniques
de nos produits.

interventions d'entretien ou réparations effec-
tuées sur ce modèle risqueraient de rendre la
machine peu sfare, c'est p o u r q u o i nous nous
p e r m e t t o n s d'insister sur ce point que seuls
les Concessionnaires Yamaha Autorisés sont
qualiïiés pour l'entretien et la réparation de
nos m o t o c y c l e t t e s .
Nos bureaux d'étude et services techniques
s'efforcent c o n s t a m m e n t d ' a p p o r t e r de nouve-
aux p e r f e c t i o n n e m e n t s à tous les modèles con-
struits par Yamaha: les modifications sont
donc inévitables. Les changements éventuels
intervenant dans les caractéristiques techniques
ou procédés d'entretien seront c o m m u n i q u é s
à tous les Concessionnaires Yamaha Autorisés,
et para]tront le cas échéant dans les prochaines
éditions de ce manuel.
