d. If voltage is off, check battery, generator
and rectifier. If generator, rectifier and
battery are good, then IC regulator is
broken and it should be replaced.
NOTE'
1) Never disconnect wires from the battery
while the generator is in operation. If
the battery is disconnected, the voltage
across the generator terminals will in-
crease, damaging the semiconductors.
2) When checking the regulator being in-
stalled on a machine, the battery should
not be removed, and it should be fully
charged.
3) Never use a high voltage insulation
ohmmeter such as a megaohmmeter for
such a test. If high voltage is applied to
the regulator terminals, the regulator
will be damaged.
C. Checking silicon rectifier
Check silicon rectifier as specified using ohm-
meter.

batterie, le générateur et le redresseur.
si le générateur, le redresseur et la bat-
terie sont en bon état, le régulateur CI
est cassé et il doit être remplacé.
N.B.:
1) Ne jamais débrancher les fils de la bat-
terie quand le générateur est en marche.
si la batterie est débranchée, la tension
entre
les
bornes
du
générateur
va
augmenter,
endommageant
ainsi
les
semi-conducteurs.
2) Lors du contrôle du régulateur mis en
place sur la machine, la batterie ne doit
pas
être
enlevée,
et
elle
doit
être
chargée à bloc.
3) Pour un tel test, ne jamais utiliser un
ohmmètre
avec
une
grande
résistance
(mégaohmmètre par ex.). Si une tension
élevée
est
appliquée
aux
bornes
du
régulateur, il sera endommagé.
C. Contrôle du redresseur au silicium
Contrôler le redresseur au silicium
spécifié à l'aide d'un ohmmètre.
