Procedure
I
Set conditions to deactivate each switch
Check each switch and related wire harness
• All accessories OFF
NO
• Clutch and Neutral switch :Refer to page F-139
• Transmission in neutral • Idle switch

• All pedals released
• Pow switch
: Refer to page F-136
Verify that monitor lamp does not illuminate
• Stoplight switch :Refer to Section T

• Headlight switch : Refer to Section T
• Blower switch

Check each switch as described
• Water thermoswitch

Shift transmission into gear
NO
PC: • Neutral or clutch switch malfunction
Verify that monitor lamp illuminates with clutch pedal
(Refer to F-139)

• Open circuit in related wire harness
• Engine control terminal 1 V malfunction
YES

Depress clutch pedal
NO
PC: • Clutch switch malfunction
Verify that monitor lamp does not illuminate

Return transmission to neutral

Depress accelerator pedal (less than full) and verify that

PC: -Idle terminal malfunction

• Short circuit in wire harness from idle switch to en-
gine control unit
- Engine control unit terminal 1 N malfunction
Idle terminal OK (Refer to page F-128)
Release accelerator pedal
