Position the gear such that they are centered within the gear cut-outs and also check gear
retraction (with wheels mounted) to make sure there is ample clearance around gear scissors and
wheels to clear wing skins at all positions. A hand pump is very handy for extending and
retracting gear for testing purposes. Once satisfied with the gear position, mark mounting holes
and drill.
NOTE: It is easier to mark and drill 2 – 3 holes then mount gear temporarily so that remaining
holes can be accurately drilled with gear held in place.
