RIP (Routing Information Protocol)

A routing protocol which operates upon UDP/IP. The route is dynamically exchanged
with the adjacent host, and the router which would be used until the route would reach
the target network is digitized by the value called hops in order to determine the shortest
route.

RTP (Real-time Transport Protocol)

RTP is a transmission protocol for playing voice or video data, etc. in streaming format,
which is used upon UDP, and is not equipped with complicated functions such as
guaranteeing the Quality of Service: QoS or ensuring the transmission band, etc.
By having the following information not included in UDP, the real time videos and
audio streams can be played correctly.
The type of transmitting media
The timing for playing each packet
Packet loss, playing order

Real Player

A media player used for playing videos and audio data which is provided by
RealNetworks.

Routing

Route control which enables a certain network to be connected to another network by
using a router to enable communication.
It is used for forwarding the external packets to the hosts exiting within the own
network, or for forwarding the packets issued within the own network to other networks,
etc.

SIP (Session Initiation Protocol)

SIP is a protocol for the session layer which provides the basic functions such as session
start, change, and finishing between 2 or more clients such as multimedia sessions or
VoIP.

SIP Server

A server which controls the calls such as by using the protocol called SIP by
corresponding phone numbers to IP addresses or enabling connection with the
counterparty by calling the counterparty.
