10.7 LED and DIP Switch for the Communication unit

10.7.1 The Panel LED for the Communication unit

1. Transitions of the Status LED for when the power is turned on
1) While FPGA Configuration is in process for the MODEM board, the lights for
Status-1 to 4 will be turned on, and then turned off after a few seconds.
2) When FPGA Configuration is completed and the procedure moves onto the BDE
activation, the LEDs will repeat being turned on and off in a sequential manner
starting from Status-1 until 4. If the satellite signal is detected, the Ready LED
will blink at a second's interval.
3) When BDE activation is completed, the lights for Status-1 to 4 will be turned on.
It may take a few minutes until the lights turn on.
4) Ready LED will turn on if the Antenna is set to tracking status, and the
authentication by the BGAN network is provided successfully.
If any error is detected, the corresponding Status LED will blink according to the part
where the error had been detected. As for the details, refer to the next page.

If Ready LED keeps on blinking and does not change to constant lighted status
The Antenna has acquired from the satellite signal. However, position data is not
inputted.
Unless the position data is provided, FELCOM-250/500 will not implement the FB
network registration operation. The registration operation will start as soon as the
position data is input, and Ready LED will be lighted once the registration is
completed successfully.
If Ready LED is not lighted although the position data is input, try and select the
current satellite search via; Main -> Satellite search.
