Chapter 4. Settings for TEL/FAX

4.1 Overview

Handset: The settings for the phone function will need to be made for both the
Communication unit and the Handset.
Analog terminal(TEL/FAX): The settings for the phone function will need to be made
the Communication unit.
The Communication unit requires to have the Handsets and the Analog terminals
registered in the SIP server, and the Handset requires to be set as client terminal for the
SIP server. In other words, if the SIP server can acknowledge the registered Handset as
client terminal, phone calls and extension calls will be available.
4.1.1 Overview

1. Settings on the Web MMI

The items requiring setting are Analog ports, Incoming indicator, and PBX settings
which you can reach via Settings -> Basic settings. "Contact" menu refers to the phone
number of the called party. Registration (each Handset) can be made via the Handset,
too. Make the settings as necessary.
