1.11.2 Installing
– Install in reverse order of removal.
1.12 Removing and installing head restraint
guides
1.12.1 Removing
– Operate respective button in head restraint guide and pull
head restraint out of backrest.
Caution
Carry out following sequences using extreme care so as not to
damage the cover and padding.
– Push cover and padding downwards under the head restraint
guide -2-.
– Release retaining lug -1- using a screwdriver or pin and pull
head restraint out -2-.
1.12.2 Installing
– Install in reverse order of removal.
1.13 Removing and installing front seat back‐
rest
Note
Removal and installation is described for the left seat. Apply the
same instructions for removal and installation of the right seat as
appropriate.
1.13.1 Removing
– Attach seat repair stand -VAS 6136- to engine and gearbox
support -VAS 6095- .
– Remove front seat ⇒ page 251
– Secure seat to seat repair stand -VAS 6136- .
– Remove right trim on seat:
♦ Seat with no folding backrest
♦ Seat with folding backrest
Vehicles with manually adjustable seat
– Remove left trim on seat:
♦ Seat with no folding backrest
