Removing
WARNING
Observe the general safety regulations when working on air‐
bag, belt tensioner and battery isolator units (pyrotechnic com‐
ponents) ⇒ page 89
– Disconnect vehicle battery ⇒ Electrical system; Rep. Gr. 27 ;
Disconnecting and reconnecting battery .
– Remove front door trim
– Disconnect wiring harness -1- from side airbag crash sensor
on driver side -G179- -2-.
– Press fastener -arrow- upwards using a screwdriver and re‐
lease crash sensor from assembly carrier, arrows -A- and
-B-.
Installing
– Install in reverse order of removal.
– Switch ignition on.
