– Remove bolt -1- (40 Nm) and remove belt guide fitting -2- from
body.
Vehicles with belt tensioner
– Disconnect vehicle battery ⇒ Electrical system; Rep. Gr. 27 ;
Disconnecting and reconnecting battery .
WARNING
Electrostatic discharges may result in unintentional triggering
of airbag. Therefore, the mechanic must electrostatically dis‐
charge him/herself before disconnecting wiring. This can be
done by briefly touching the body or striker plate of the door.
– Disconnect wiring harness connector -7-.
All vehicles
– Unbolt bolt -6- (40 Nm) and release belt inertia reel -5- from
mounting.
– To remove belt guide -3-, unbolt bolts -4- (6 Nm) and take belt
guide off upwards.
