F. 11 Raising the hopper whilst the engine is turned off

It is not possible to tip up the hopper using the buttons in the cabin when the engine is turned off or when the engine is not working.There will then be no hydraulic
pressure.
WARNING
ALWAYS FIT THE SAFETY BRACKETS WHEN THE HOPPER IS TIPPED UP.
F. 11.1 Raising the hopper using the emergency hand pump
• Open the service door (1) (always on the right-hand side of the sweeper)
• Ensure that the valve (3) on the hand pump (2) is closed (turn valve clockwise)
• Place the pump lever in the hand pump (2)
• Raise the container by moving the pump lever up and down
• Place the safety brackets under the container once the container has been raised.
NOTE
IF THE CONTAINER HAS BEEN RAISED WITH THE HAND PUMP AND THERE IS NO HYDRAULIC PRESSURE, IT WILL NOT BE POSSIBLE TO LOWER THE
CONTAINER.

THE FOLLOWING PROCEDURE IS UNSAFE AND IS THEREFORE ONLY RECOMMENDED FOR USE IN EMERGENCY SITUATIONS.
F. 11.2 Raising and lowering the container using the emergency hand pump (not recommended)
• Open the service door (1) (always on the right-hand side of the sweeper)
• Ensure that the valve (3) on the hand pump (2) is closed (turn valve clockwise)
• Place the pump lever in the hand pump (2)
• Raise the container by moving the pump lever up and down (make sure the container is not raised too high, otherwise it will not be possible to lower the
container using the hand pump)
• Make sure the container is temporarily locked in position as quickly as possible (for example, by using blocks of wood)
• Remove the temporary container lock
• Now lower the container
• Slowly open the valve (3) of the hand pump (2) (turn anti-clockwise). Once the container starts to move do not open the valve any further
• The container is lowered back onto the frame under its own weight
• Close the valve (3) on the hand pump (2) (turn valve clockwise)
• Remove the pump lever
• Close the service door (1).
