F. 1 Adjustment of sweeper unit suction head

Correct adjustment of the suction-head will have a considerable effect on results. The adjustment of the suction head should be checked on a regular basis. In order
to adjust the suction head, the vehicle must be parked on level ground. To position the suction head swivel castor correctly, the vehicle must be moved forward slightly
with lowered suction head.
F. 1.1 Suction head levelling
For best results, the underside of the suction head, including the rear section, must be completely level.
Levelling suction head (sideways):
• Loosen the two bolts (1)
• Level the suction head
• Tighten the two bolts (1) securely.
F. 1.2 Road surface clearance
For best results, the underside of the suction head must be set to give a clearance of 10 - 15 mm above the road surface.
Adjusting road clearance:
• Unscrew the lock nut (2).
• Turn swivel castor spindle (3) right or left respectively to raise or lower the suction head.
• Tighten the lock nut (2) securely.
F. 1.3 Suction head rubbers
For best results, it is important that the suction head rubbers fit well and seal off unwanted air. During normal operation, the rubbers wear slowly. Adjust suction
head clearance regularly or replace the rubbers.
